A questionnaire study was conducted to find the effective parameters in behavior of consumption of fishery products in Isfahan city in 2011. A total of 386 families were selected randomly. A significant correlation between parameters was examined using the Spearman and Hydo test. Results showed that the per capita consumption in this city is 8 Kg and the Isfahani families’ tendency for consumption of fishery products was in the order of salt water fish, canned fish and shrimp. The quality and freshness, price, packaging and odor had the most important role in making decision to buy the seafood. About 40% Isfahani families preferred to buy the packed seafood products. There were significant relationships between the consumption of aquatic products and presence of seafood chain stores, monthly income, familiarity with different recipes of seafood, season, awareness of health-related seafood benefits and availability of ready-to- eat fishes.
